This kinda reminds me of like a wwII propaganda poster, with the harsh black and white with just a touch of color. I'd just say you might push it that way and make the lighting really hard. Right now it feels a little tentative with the slight soft-edge on the lighting. If you decided to go the other way and make the lighting soft, I'd just echo what Caleb harps on me about "don't skip your mid-tones."
